The control scheme for one particular aspect of the game is appalling and there's very little in the way of allowing the player to get used This game takes the worst examples of what constitutes a decent level of difficulty and creates a conceit that is at odds with its presentation.

All this adds up to frustrating irritating gameplay that ruins what could have been potentially very fun. Add some laggy unresponsive controls, and a shield/parry system that has a significant delay making it incredibly difficult to block anything. Sadly this is all let down by ludicrous difficulty spikes very early in the game, coupled with a horrible checkpoint system that makes you replay drawn out sections and cutscenes just to get back into a boss fight you've had sprung on you while still woefully underpowered to have said fight and with very little practice time before hand.
